Lead Mediator and Co-Founder

Lizzie Stevenson brings a uniquely powerful lens to mediation as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over a decade of experience helping families, couples, and individuals navigate life’s most complex transitions. As a licensed mediator, seasoned therapist, and university professor of child development, Lizzie combines clinical insight and research with structured negotiation strategies to create a compassionate, effective, and solution-focused mediation process.

Her LMFT credential sets her apart from many mediators: Lizzie is expertly trained in understanding emotional systems, communication breakdowns, and the deep-rooted dynamics that often underlie conflict. She applies this knowledge to help clients move from gridlock to resolution—especially in high-conflict divorces, co-parenting disputes, family business negotiations, and complex interpersonal breakdowns.

A central focus of Lizzie’s mediation work is supporting parents in creating strong, sustainable co-parenting agreements that promote healthy child development after divorce. Drawing on her clinical expertise in attachment theory and family systems, Lizzie helps parents prioritize their children's emotional well-being while building communication tools and parenting plans that reduce long-term conflict.

Martha Heywood is a licensed mediator, experienced leader, and business executive with a strong background in transaction analysis, proposal development, project and product management, operations, and corporate development. With a strategic mindset and results-driven approach, she helps leaders, organizations, and families navigate complex challenges while sharpening their decision-making capabilities.

Throughout her career, Martha has been recognized for her integrity, ethics, and principled leadership. She has contributed to the design of organizational structures and policies, consistently aligning strategy with execution to drive sustainable growth. Her ability to unite diverse viewpoints and build consensus has made her a trusted collaborator and advisor during times of transition and change.
